Purpose

01

Purpose

Every build starts with a question, not a tool. Before any code exists I dig into who this is actually for, what problem it solves, and what the end result needs to feel like when it works. To skip this step is to build something technically correct and fast, but practically useless.

Ideation

02

Ideation

Concepts get sketched wide and loose here, on purpose. I deliberately explore more directions than I'll ever use, letting rough half-formed ideas sit next to each other and compete. Most get thrown out. The point isn't to find the answer immediately, it's to make sure the one I pick actually beat something.

Resources

03

Resources

Every project runs inside real constraints like time, tools, budgets and team size. I map those boundaries early so the plan that follows is grounded in what's actually buildable, and not get buried under a wishlist of features and perfection. Constraints found late are just rework found early.

Planning

04

Planning

Ideas become structure here. I break the work into concrete, ordered steps, define the architecture that will hold it all up, and decide what has to happen before what. Sequencing matters as much as scope. Using notepads, Notion, even pen & paper, I like to divide my task. Most rework I've seen wasn't from a bad idea, it was from doing things unplanned.

Create

05

Create

This is where the plan meets reality. I build a slice, get it reviewed immediately, and make adjustments the something doesn't feel or perform right. This loop goes on, keeping the planned schedule in mind. Momentum matters, but not more than catching a wrong turn early.

Polish

06

Polish

The last mile is where craft actually shows up. I refine motion, spacing, timing, and the dozen tiny details nobody consciously notices but everybody feels. This is what separates something that works from something that feels considered, and it's usually the step that gets cut first when it shouldn't be. Polishing is a never ending process, but sure is a fun one.
